Beautiful, Long-Lasting
Metal-Free Dentistry
Replacing amalgam fillings with composite resins makes dramatic changes to your smile!
Mercury-Free Dentistry
We understand your concerns regarding the use of mercury fillings. We have not placed an amalgam filling in over 20 years. We use porcelain tooth colored composite filling materials that have no mercury or metal in them. When removing amalgam fillings we use every precaution to protect you. We also use “clean” anesthetics without preservatives.
Crowns
Why is a crown needed? A crown is most often used when a tooth can no longer be restored with a filling. Since teeth withstand a great deal of pressure when chewing, if a large portion of the tooth is lost due to decay or trauma, a crown may be needed to protect the remaining tooth structure. The part of the tooth you see in your mouth is referred to as the crown of the tooth. There is also as much or more of your tooth below the gum line. A dental crown protects your natural tooth from fracturing or snapping off at or below the gum line. We offer crowns made from all porcelain crowns that contain no metal as well as porcelain crowns that have a gold understructure.
Implants
Dental implants are used when the entire tooth has been removed. An implant in placed into the bone below the gum line to replace the root of the tooth and then an implant crown is created to replace the portion of the tooth that is seen in the mouth. Dental implants are essentially permanent, attached teeth that can be used alone to replace a single tooth, or can be used as a replacement for partial dentures, or to anchor dentures for stability. Dr. Bashford has been extensively trained in implant surgery and can do your implant from start to finish!
“I was told by a few dentists that my right canine was lost. But Dr. Bashford suggested an implant and took the time to explain every step. He did an implant in only a few sessions, with absolutely no pain and fast healing. He made it possible for me to sing again and smile again. Thanks, Dr. Bashford!”

Periodontics
Periodontal (gum) disease can lead to more than just an unsightly smile – it can cause loss of teeth and eventually, if left untreated, serious health problems. Called gingivitis in its early stages, periodontal disease is caused by excessive toxic bacteria (found in plaque) that attack your mouth’s soft tissues. Early warning signs of this disease include red, swollen, bleeding gums. When treated at this stage, treatment can be quick and easy.
If detected later, our hygienist is specially trained to treat periodontal disease with the most advanced treatment available. Perio Protect is the least painful, least time consuming treatment for periodontal disease available. With your help we can restore your periodontal health and save your teeth without surgery.

Invisalign is the revolutionary way to help you get even, straight teeth without noticeable, painful metal braces. Virtually undetectable, Invisalign aligners are made of strong, clear plastic that gradually guide your teeth into perfect alignment. Unlike metal braces, they have no wires or brackets. Tooth impressions are made, from which Invisalign develops customized aligners that will slide directly over your teeth. Aligners are typically worn full-time (except when eating or drinking) for 12 to 48 months—no longer than you would wear traditional metal braces. Aligners are replaced every two weeks as your teeth shift into place.
